Kp da49df78f7 Split drop_powerup to return either an object id or a success code
If exactly one object will always be needed, use an overload that
returns the object id.  Otherwise, use an overload that only returns
whether at least one object was created.  This simplifies callers that
always request exactly one object.

Kp b8a8a61ff8 Simplify multiplayer powerup creation
Instead of creating the powerup from a player, then overwriting the
location and velocity of the powerup, and fixing up its segment, create
the powerup directly where it should be, with the intended velocity.

Kp 665713f315 Remove static inline declarations from fwd-partial_range.h
A declaration is useful if it declares an external function.  A static
inline declaration, if not followed by the definition later in the same
translation unit, will not be useful.  Remove such declarations, and
rely on using the definition as a declaration for those files that
actually call partial_range() or similar functions.

Switch valptridx::ptr to a reference type.
Switch valptridx::ptridx to a reference type or to ::ptr.

Fix up uses of operator-> accordingly.

Kp 72f04b9828 Remove exploding wall assertion
In multiplayer, the host sends a destroy message for both sides of the
wall.  `do_exploding_wall_frame` processes both, but
`num_exploding_walls` is only decreased by 1, causing an assertion
failure at the end.  Remove the assertion, since the wall does not
explode instantly on join, despite being marked as WALL_EXPLODING.

Kp 599ac9dee0 Always qualify valptridx type/factory
Previously, valptridx used PREFIX for allow-invalid+mutable, c#PREFIX
for allow-invalid+const, v#PREFIX for require-valid+mutable, vc#PREFIX
for require-valid+const.  Convert the types, factories, and all usage
sites to specify a qualifier for all four combinations:

	im#PREFIX -> allow-invalid+mutable
	ic#PREFIX -> allow-invalid+const
	vm#PREFIX -> require-valid+mutable
	vc#PREFIX -> require-valid+const

Changes to common/include/valptridx.h and common/include/fwd-valptridx.h
are manual.  All other changes are generated by:

	git grep -lz -e '\(obj\|seg\|clwall\|wall\|actdoor\|trg\)\(ptridx\|ptr\|idx\)\(_t\)\?\>' | xargs -0 sed -i -e 's/\<\(v\?\)\(\(obj\|seg\|clwall\|wall\|actdoor\|trg\)\(ptridx\|ptr\|idx\)\(_t\)\?\)\>/\1m\2/g'

for the 'm' prefix and:

zico 901a554e96 New powerup management code: Addeed functions and packet type to keep track of original and current level inventory as well as player and thief inventories. Calling maybe_drop_net_powerup() for all ammo based weapons except Concussion missiles. Limiting maybe_drop_net_powerup() to only spawn items missing from initial level inventory. Added function to let host respawn items that were lost for whatever reason. Expanded maybe_drop_net_powerup() and child functions to be able to drop item based on a random player. Changed back maybe_drop_secondary_weapon_egg() to its original behavior, dropping 3 of each type max. 2016-02-25 14:11:08 +01:00
Kp 6e20d86941 Move OF_PLAYER_DROPPED into drop_powerup
This fixes an issue where calling drop_powerup with num > 1 only tagged
one powerup as player-dropped.

This also changes powerups dropped by the thief to be "player-dropped",
since, aside from the initial shields/energy, they came from the player
originally.
